GENERAL ADDIMISSION RULES:
1. Admission in different classes shall be made as per the number of seats allocated.2. Admission shall be made strictly on the basis of merit.3. Any admission is valid only for a particular class and a particular session. Fresh admission will be required for next higher class.4. For admission to 1st year of graduate classes the students will have to give three preferences for group of subjects. As per the rules they will be entitled for admission to one group only.5. Adjustment of fees deposited for a particular group of subjects may be made as per the provisions of Ordinance No.7.6. The merit of candidates seeking change in their faculty/subject at graduate and postgraduate level shall be computed after deducting 5% from the marks secured in qualifying examination. Weightage shall be given on reduced marks.7. For candidates having passed after revaluation, admission may be given provided:(i). Revaluation result has been declared within 60 days of main exam. result;(ii). If the seats are vacant;(iii). They will fulfil the norms for desired attendance; and(iv). Their cases will be considered on the basis of their Merit. In the event of delay in the declaration of main exams. result by the University, last date for the admission in the next higher class will be till 15 days after the declaration of the result.8. Regular admission will not be given to any candidate who having been admitted once discontinues his studies. Candidates who fail in any class will not be given regular admission in the same class. 9. Candidates with gap of one or more years between passing qualifying examination and seeking admission to higher class will be considered for admission provided they submit an affidavifand the original Transfer Certificate. Their admissions will be as per the general merit list.10. In teaching departments admission to' graduate classes will be made by the respective Deans of the Faculties while the respective Heads of the Department will make admission in Postgraduate Classes and Diploma Courses. If any admissions are to be cancelled such an order will be issued by the respective Deans / Heads of the departments.11. No action will be taken by the University office under any circumstances for any admission without the approval of Deans / Heads of the Department.12. The following categories .of candidates will not be eligible for admission:(i) who have been punished by the court of Law for serious crimih3;1 or immoral offence or malpractice in the conduct of some previous examination,(ii) against whom any legal proceeding is pending in the court of Law,(iii) those who have caused disturbance or used muscle power in the examination hall.(iv) even after having been admitted if any candidate is found to be involved in such cases registered with the police or produced in the court of Law their admission will stand suspended,(v) this procedure shall also be followed in cases of candidates either punished by Proctorial Board or cases pending before Proctorial Board.13. Students who have been debarred from appearing in exams. for a particular period being found guilty of using unfair means in exams or against whom proceedings are still pending will not be eligible for admission till that period is over.
